| Muskrat Cabin Skit Day 1: God is Real This skit is based on the Four Person Chair Removal physical puzzle in which four people begin sitting on chairs but end up having the chairs removed and still remain supported. (6 PEOPLE REQUIRED) AT THE REASON TO BELIEVE STORE STOREGUY: (ENTERS AND GIVES BRIEF COMMERCIAL) Hi, everyone, and this is the Reason to Believe Store. If you need a reason to believe, then come to the Reason to Believe Store. It’s the store where you don’t need a reason to buy one. CUSTOMER 1: (ENTERS) Hello. STOREGUY: Good afternoon, sir or madam. Welcome to the Reason to Believe Store. How can I help you today? CUSTOMER 1: Well, I’m sort of looking for a reason to believe in God. STOREGUY: You’ve come to the right place. We’ve got lots of reasons to believe. Let me show you a few of our most popular. (THEY STEP TO CHAIRS AND STOREGUY DESCRIBES THEM) Let’s see here...here’s the “because GRANDDAD told me to” reason. Then there’s the “count your BLESSINGS” reason. Of course an ever popular reason is “it makes me feel GOOD”. And last but not least, we have the “so I won’t be afraid of DYING” reason. CUSTOMER 1: Wow. You do have lots. Tell me a little more about the GRANDDAD one. STOREGUY: Of course. When people you know and trust, like your Granddad, or Grandma, or Aunt or, you know...when someone like that tells you they believe in God and and that you should too, and what better reason to believe than because someone you love and respect does? CUSTOMER 1: Yeah...that sounds right. I’m pretty sure my Granddad believed in God. STOREGUY: Then say no more. (HOLDS UP CHAIR) This is the reason for you. CUSTOMER 1: (TAKES CHAIR AND PAYS) Thank you. (CARRIES CHAIR OVER TO ANOTHER PART OF STAGE AND “TRIES IT OUT.” PAYING SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE LABEL) CUSTOMER 2: (ENTERS) Hello. STOREGUY: Good afternoon, sir or madam. Welcome to the Reason to Believe Store. How can I help you today? CUSTOMER 2: Well, I’m sort of looking for a reason to believe in God. STOREGUY: Do you have good friends, close family, and nice neighbors? CUSTOMER 2: Sure do. Sure do. Sure do. STOREGUY: Well, with the “count your blessings” reason, you can believe God is real just because of all the good stuff in your life. CUSTOMER 2: I sure do have a lot of blessings. That’s a great reason. I’ll take it. (PAYS) STOREGUY: HANDS CHAIR TO CUSTOMER WHO CARRIES IT OVER TO CUSTOMER 1 AND PLACES IT IN POSITION AND SITS ON IT -- ADMIRING IT ALL THE WAY. CUSTOMERS 1 AND 2 SHOW OFF THEIR CHAIRS TO EACH OTHER. CUSTOMER 3: (ENTERS) Hello. STOREGUY: Good afternoon, sir or madam. Welcome to the Reason to Believe Store. How can I help you today?
